Memcached DDoS UDP Port Amplification Exploits POC

Posted Under: DDOS, Exploit, Memcached, Source Code on Mar 8, 2018
The Memcached vulnerability commonly know as Memcrashed and it is identified by CVE-2018-1000115 is a Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack using UDP port. It works by sending a request from a spoofed IP address of few bytes to UDP port 11211 to a vulnerable server which return a humongous response, this amplification result in a massive DDOS attack. The Memcrashed attack is recorded at a whopping 1.7 TBps. Memcached, Memcrashed Vulnerability Patch fix can be found here.
