Download YouTube Videos to Desktop Free
YouTube is undoubtedly the biggest online video website in the world. This tutorial focus on technique by which you can download the video to your desktop easily and off course free.
For this you need VLC Player. If you do not already have it download the latest version from here. After this fire it up and go to Media → Open Network Stream... or simply press Ctrl + N.
Next copy the URL of the video you want to download, as shown
this is the YouTube URL i used
Copy the URL that is shown in Location, this is the direct URL of the video on the YouTube server
Paste this copied URL in a browser and hit enter, after the video starts to play press Ctrl + S and save it you desktop to view it later or share it.
This method is valid for Windows, Linux and Mac.
