Question 467 of 1002

How can you know that a brake circuit is faulty?

Justification

If a brake circuit stops working, this warning light will illuminate on the dashboard.

All cars must have at least 2 functioning brake circuits. If one brake circuit stops working, the other brake circuit will ensure that you can still brake safely and effectively. However, you should take the car to a workshop at the first opportunity. Driving with only one functioning brake circuit is not advisable and can be dangerous.

This is the symbol for brake failure. Some car brands may have other variations of this symbol

Options
The ABS light will warn the driver
The vehicle will have no braking function
The brakes will make a loud whining noise every time you brake
A red warning light will light up on the dashboard
