Question 748 of 1002

What do the combined lines indicate?

Justification

This is a combined line. The oncoming traffic has a warning line on its side, indicating that the visibility ahead is too short for normal overtaking. On our side, there is a lane line, and this can be crossed when done in accordance with the traffic regulations.

A lane line is a broken line consisting of short lines with large gaps in between.

Lane lines may be crossed if the traffic rules allow it, as the lane line tells you that you will normally be able to get a clear view of the road ahead in this area. Lane lines may be yellow or white.

Options
It is prohibited to overtake here
The visibility is too poor for overtaking in both directions
The visibility is good enough for normal overtaking in both directions
The visibility is too poor for overtaking for the oncoming traffic
