Question 741 of 1002

You wish to overtake the cyclist. How much space should you (as a minimum) give the cyclist when passing?

Justification

Half a metre is not a safe distance when passing a cyclist, while 3 metres would lead you to end up far over in the opposite lane. Slow down and position yourself approximately 1.5 metres out when overtaking.

Options
1.5 metres
Overtaking cyclists is prohibited
0.5 metres
3 metres
