When making a brief stop in the dark, you should turn on your parking lights. The following is stated in the traffic regulations:

Parking lights shall be switched on while a vehicle is standing still or parked on a road when the light or visibility conditions make it necessary in order to make the vehicle visible to other road users.'

Full-beam headlights or dipped headlights must not be switched on while a vehicle is stationary or parked.' (The reason being that this will blind other road users, and reduce their distance of visibility.)
