If you have been involved in a traffic incident that might be cause for a police investigation, you must not consume alcohol in the first 6 hours following the incident. In some cases, the police might collect blood samples from those involved if there is any suspicion that the incident might have been caused by either party being affected by alcohol or other intoxicants. Attempting to drive under the influence is punishable by law, and it will normally suffice for a conviction if the driver has turned the ignition key or released the hand brake. Additionally, the driver must have intended to drive the car. |
