What is the difference between yellow and white markings?
Justification

In Norway, we use yellow markings along the carriageway for separating traffic travelling in opposite directions, and white markings for separating traffic travelling in the same direction.

In many other countries, white markings are also used for separating traffic travelling in opposite directions. The example below is from Sweden.

There is no difference between yellow and white markings
White markings are only used on motorways, and yellow are used on priority roads
Only yellow markings are used in Norway, but in foreign countries white markings are used
