Question 481 of 1002

What is correct about our ability to assess the speed of others?

Justification

It is common for us to perceive the speed of oncoming vehicles as lower than it actually is. At distances over 300 meters, it is practically impossible to distinguish between high and low speeds of oncoming vehicles. If the oncoming vehicle is small, the assessment becomes even more difficult.

Options
We have a tendency to assess the speed of oncoming vehicles as lower than it actually is
We tend to believe that oncoming vehicles are moving faster than they actually are
We are better at assessing the speed of two-wheelers than the speed of cars
We are better at assessing the speed of oncoming vehicles than those coming from the side
