According to Statistics Norway (SSB), there were 116 fatalities reported in 2023.

Out of these fatalities, 51 drivers, 21 car passengers, 21 motorcyclists and moped drivers, 11 "soft" road users, and 7 other road users were killed.

This means driver and passengers in cars account for about 65 % of those killed in traffic accidents.
