What rules apply to the category B driving licence?
Justification

You must be 18 years old to take the practical driving test for a category B driving licence.

Category B driving licences issued today apply to cars (with a maximum authorised mass not exceeding 3500 kg), two-wheel mopeds, tractors (with a maximum authorised mass not exceeding 3500 kg), motorised equipment (with a maximum authorised mass not exceeding 3500 kg) and tracked vehicles.
Options
The category B driving licence also applies to light motorcycles
You must have turned 18 to obtain a category B driving licence
The driving licence is valid for only 10 years at a time
You can take the practical driving test six months before you turn 18
