Question 502 of 1002

It is dark, and you want to pass the car in front of you. What is correct?

Justification

When overtaking in the dark, switch on full-beam headlights when you are approximately two car lengths behind the car in front.

The car being overtaken must switch to dipped headlights when you have passed (before you pull in ahead of it).

Options
I must change lanes and switch on full-beam headlights when I am approximately two car lengths behind the car I am overtaking
Overtaking in the dark is as safe as overtaking in daylight
Neither car should use full-beam headlights during the overtaking
I switch on full-beam headlights only after I have returned to my lane in front of the overtaken car
