You check the oil level using the dipstick (marked with a B). Pull out the dipstick, wipe off the oil with a paper towel, and reinsert it. Remove it again and check that the oil level is between the MIN and MAX markings on the dipstick. Some cars are equipped with systems that check oil levels automatically and notify the driver if levels become too low.
