Placing heavy loads too far in the front of the trailer will put too much weight on the hitch and the tongue weight becomes too high. If the load is placed too far back, the tongue weight may become too low.

It's important that there is a minimum amount of pressure, and it is generally better to place the load slightly too far in the front than in the back.
