Motor vehicle liability insurance is a mandatory insurance which covers the damages the motor vehicle causes others. To make sure that anyone who sustains an injury in a traffic accident is entitled to compensation from an insurance company, all registered motor vehicles must be covered by motor vehicle liability insurance (third party insurance/traffic insurance). The minimum compulsory motor vehicle liability insurance covers: Injuries sustained by another person Damages to other vehicles (if the driver of that vehicle cannot be blamed for the damages) Damages to other vehicles (if the driver of that vehicle cannot be blamed for the damages) Damages to another person's property (e.g. if you drive into a house or a fence) Damages to another person's property (e.g. if you drive into a house or a fence) Injuries sustained by the driver himself/herself (i.e. you, if you are driving) Injuries sustained by the driver himself/herself (i.e. you, if you are driving) |
