In the traffic rules it is stated that only motor vehicles or combinations of motor vehicles that can lawfully be driven at speeds of at least 40 km/h on a horizontal road are permitted to drive on motorways and "roads for motor vehicles" or on motorway and "road for motor vehicles" acceleration or deceleration lanes. Tractors are therefore permitted as long as they can drive at 40 km/h or more. It is further stated that mopeds must not be driven on motorways or "roads for motor vehicles". Even though it is a requirement that motor vehicles are driven at speeds of at least 40 km/h, there is no minimum speed for motorways or motor vehicle roads. This is because you are always required to adjust your speed to the area, road and driving conditions, as well as the traffic situation. The sign for motor vehicle roads looks like this: |
