According to the traffic rules, overtaking right before or in a crossroad is prohibited, but there are a number of important exceptions to this rule. For example, it is permitted to overtake someone at a crossroad: When crossing traffic has an obligation to give way. When the carriageway has two or more lanes in the direction of travel. When the vehicle in front turns left or is clearly preparing to make a left turn and you are overtaking on the right-hand side. |
