When the full-beam headlights are on, you are able to spot a dark object or a person wearing dark clothes at 100-150 metres distance. A person wearing light clothes is normally visible at about 300 metres distance.

To avoid blinding oncoming traffic, you should always switch to dipped headlights when the distance between you is about 200-300 metres.
